Something as simple as enjoying a gentle swing outdoors can bring a sense of happiness, comfort, and connection.

For residents who use wheelchairs, however, traditional swings are often inaccessible.

The Soledad Community Health Care District Foundation is working to change that.

Through our Creating Moments of Joy fundraising campaign, we hope to purchase and install two wheelchair-accessible therapeutic swings at Eden Valley Care Center in Soledad, California.

These specially designed swings will allow residents who use wheelchairs to experience the joy of swinging without having to transfer out of their wheelchairs.

More than just outdoor equipment, these swings represent an opportunity to make recreational experiences more inclusive and accessible for the residents we serve.
